Huck welcomes former pro surfer and writer Jamie Brisick to London for the European launch of his new book, Becoming Westerly about surf champion Peter Drouyn’s transformation into Westerly Windina.
Jamie first met Westerly in August 2009, on assignment for The Surfer’s Journal. You can read more here about the friendship that developed and Jamie’s book Becoming Westerly and his forthcoming documentary.
Join us to hear Jamie read passages from the book, screen scenes from his documentary and join Huck’s Editor-at-Large Michael Fordham in conversation. Followed by drinks and live music from The Loose Salute at Huck’s 71a Gallery in Shoreditch Tuesday July 28 from 6pm.
