Win an ocean adventure to the Caribbean
Huck x Red Paddle — Red Paddle Co. is teaming up with Huck to offer a lucky pair of readers a trip to the Caribbean.

The rise and rise of the Stand Up Paddle board has seen coastlines and waterways world-over made accessible to a new generation of people for whom the spin of the planet is placed front and centre.

To celebrate this watershed moment in the evolution of SUP culture we’re partnering up with Red Paddle Co to offer a chance for two HUCK readers to get out to Barbados for the event. This is a VIP all-inclusive trip for 2 to Barbados for 4 nights – and as the event is an open competition, if you choose to enter you’re in with a chance of being the very first World Champion!

Rather than aping the wool-died aesthetic of mainstream surfing, SUP culture has taken its own trajectory. People have begun to realise that these vehicles are perfect for exploration and engagement with the environment.

The development of SUP hardware itself has played its part in pushing forward the culture. Last October saw the launch of the world’s first inflatable 22 ft, 4 person racing paddleboard. And to give this multi-human behemoth a space to really shine the Dragon World Series was created.

The series began in Hong Kong in February this year, and 30 events are being held over the Summer. The season will come to an autumn climax at the inaugural Dragon World Championships in Carlisle Bay, Barbados at the end of October, blending fast, fun racing with a Caribbean festival party vibe.
