Gilles Peterson has spent his life immersed in music, going deeper and deeper in search of the perfect beat.
Since his days scaling London housing blocks to install aerial transmitters for the pirate radio stations where he cut his teeth as a teenager, he’s always been driven to share the music that means most to him.
With his latest album project Sonzeira: Brasil Bam Bam Bam, Gilles journeys through Brazilian music with his unique cultural filter to shine a light on the country’s exceptionally rich musical heritage.
