Behind the scenes of the Huck 50 launch party

Behind the scenes of the Huck 50 launch party
Long Live Print! — To celebrate the launch of our 50th issue, we dug through Huck's archives to find the highs and lows of nine years of magazine making.

Last week we had a launch party at our gallery 71a to celebrate our 50th issue – featuring 50 inspiring stories from artists, filmmakers, photographers, musicians, writers, activists and creative doers of all kinds.

The issue, all about the lessons life throws at us when we’re busy doing what we love, features the likes of Douglas Coupland, Martin Parr, Neko Case, Thurston Moore, John Baldessari, Amy Goodman and Russell Brand and is a huge milestone for a magazine that started life at the beginning of the ‘death of print’.

For the launch party we dug into our archives and pulled out some of the mock covers, contact sheets, favourite spreads and inspiring quotes that have made the magazine what it is over 50 issues.

Thanks to all the contributors and readers that made it out. You can see more photos on our Facebook Page.

Thanks very much to Heineken for providing drinks on the evening!
