Skate video series Parisii maps each of Paris’ twenty arrondissements
- Text by Alex King
No one understands the fabric of a city better than skaters. Scouring the urban jungle for ledges, rails and stair sets, they see the city in high definition.
Filmmakers Greg Dezecot and Olivier Fanchon’s ambitious Parisii series maps the city of light from a skater’s perspective, with an awesome edit from each of Paris’ twenty arrondissements. A mammoth undertaking three years in the making, it’s a skateboarding epic in twenty acts.
Santiago Sasson, Vivien Feil, Soy Panday and the rest of the Magenta Skateboards crew round out the penultimate episode, XIV – Observatoire, and join a solid roster of Europe’s dopest skaters who have left their mark on Paris throughout the series.
Head over to Live Skateboard Media to check out the whole Parisii series.
