At 23 years old, rising BMX star Steve Cisar was on track to represent the US at the 2008 Olympic Games but one fateful crash was enough to send him off course and down a path that lead to heroin, drug addiction and despair.
After years in the wilderness, passing through rehab clinics and jail cells, Steve is now back on his bike, competing and has his eyes fixed on qualifiers for the 2016 Olympic Games.
In this awesome short film from Corinne Walder, Steve recalls his descent into darkness and his long fight to get back to the top of his sport.
